The sad thing is that there are people out there who fall for this. There must be, or the thugs would quit trying and move on to some other means of conning nice ordinary people. Makes me sick.

And am I the only one getting a weird vibe from the phrase "my father took me so special since I am motherless"? Ewwwwww.
Let's see it is hard to get out of his country but when in London he found out about the money anddid nothing but return to his homeland?
The "boy" needs some help. What if this is the one time it is a true email? What if this was the one time I decided to try crack?
There are just SO many things that disturb me about this letter.
I love how he explains that he realizes that I don't know him, but he assures me that I came to know of me through a "private search for a reliable and trustworthy person..." and later explains that he got my address from "a God-fearing and trustworthy individual."
He calms my qualms by saying that "a transaction of this magnitude" might make the average person raise an eyebrow, but he assures me that "all will be well at the end of the day." Oh, ok then.
So at this point he's laid groundwork sufficient enough to him, and he starts turning up the heat a little at a time. "Please do not impede the confidence and trust I repose in you." Gee, I would hate to disappoint Chief Leo Akubuisi (of blessed memory) and the Godfearing and trustworthy individual who referred this asswipe to
ME.
Then he adds suspense and intrigue. A business deal gone wrong, co-workers poisoning his father, the deathbed revalation of a Vast Sum of Money, aha, this must be where I fit into his vision.
Then, the list of demands. Open a bank account for me. Don't worry, it's 100% risk free... just don't tell anybody.
Tell me how much money you want to keep for yourself as commission, whatever amount you want, just tell me. Don't be shy. Money's no object. (Since you really won't be getting any anyway.)
Serve as guardian of this account, then get me a residential permit and allow me to continue my education.
Oh, and if you could have all of this secured in 14 days, that'd be great.
Yeah, I'll get right on that. Actually, I think I'll offer to send you CASH, if yu give me your mailing address.
If these jaggoffs put half as much effort into a legitimate job as they do casting these email nets and hoping to snag a sucker, they'd be rich anyway.
