My Child Mocks the Law of Gravity. What Can Your Kid Do?

Before we left the house this morning, it occurred to me that we'd be out for a while so I thought I'd better check T's dipe. It was heavy and wet, so I changed him, and helped him put on his coat and shoes so we could go.

Moments later we entered the garage, and as he was walking around the car to his side, he said "Mommy, I wet!" I asked him if he stepped in a puddle or something, even though I knew there were no puddles in the garage, nor was there any liquid lying around that he could have gotten into.

"No," he said, "my dopper!!" Oddly, his diaper was NOT wet, and yet his pants were soaked to the ankles. Somehow this child peed and said pee somehow managed to completely elude the absorbency of the diaper that I had JUST put on him not two minutes earlier and proceeded on its path Southward via the more direct route - straight through the corduroys.

I'm still baffled.

This has happened to my kids before. What I've figured out is if the diaper isn't tight enough, or if the kid moves around and pees during movement, the urine can escape the diaper and wet the pants. This happened more to me son than my daughter, for obvious reasons.

Yeah definately! What TabbyT said! That darn weiner quotient you have to take into account when changing said male child's diaper. I had that happen many times when Chunky was in diapers. Somehow that piece of their anatomy defies physics if you don't cinch the diaper on to the point where they can barely breathe!

The Weiner Quotient sounds like a Tom Clancy Novel.

Funny, I thought The Weiner Quotient sounded more like an annual monetary report fromHot Dog on a Stick. You know something to be seriously discussed at Very Serious Business Meetings. The kind of meeting that you and I would make stupid puns through and text each other silly jokes... I think now it's obvious that we would never be hired by the Hot Dog on a Stick corporate offices. I, for one, am crushed. Heh-heh, weiner...

LOL @ DO. Puts me in mind of Chandler and the WENIS report.

What is it about these boys and their dipes? DS has this amazing ability to pee up and out of his diaper, soaking the waitband of his pants. I make sure that sucker is pointed south now.
