Because I could use some good karma.
Pay It Forward!
I found this on Kickass Rachel's blog (I'm pretty sure she won't mind me calling her Kickass Rachel) and I got kinda sidetracked with all the crap about totalling the car and whatnot, but here's the deal.
I will send a handmade gift to 3 random people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this Pay It Forward exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return, if you like, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
And I know that there are some non-crafty folks who read BMB, so if you're non-crafty and you'd like to participate, I'll allow you to promise to do something nice for someone else. Doesn't have to be handmade, just heartfelt. Deal?
Anti-Stella's already in the running for watching my Apes several times last week while R and I went van shopping. And when I have a minute I'll write about what an experience van shopping was. There are pictures.

I'm totally in on this. I need the good juju. How do you wanna get in touch with me?
What a very, very cool idea. I'm in! It's weird, because I was in an accident a few weeks ago, and I had some really kind people help me out, and I tried to repay them in some nominal way (can I buy your lunch? can I pay for your gas?), and they both said, "pay it forward". I think it's a lovely concept, and I will incorporate it into my blog, too.
Ooh, I LOVE 'Random Acts of Kindness' - I was doing this a while ago in my building, like wash someone's car in the middle of the night, or I baked cookies and hung them on people's doorknobs, little things that were fun. Count me in!
If I'm not a random person, I don't know who is :).
I love this concept. I used to teach it to my 7th graders way back when I played teacher.
Well, you've already got your three, but I just sent off a box anyway. :) I think I'll do two more just for fun.
I'm so in on this...needing to occupy my time and all!
What a great idea! I'll have to think of a way to play along!
On the whole I find my karma is in a pretty good condition.
I put it down to being as nice as possible to everyone I meet, even total d*£$ heads.
I think I might walk around the rest of the day calling myself "Kickass Rachel".
