Happy Mother's Day

Have you read my Mother's Day Malaise Trilogy over there in the Cliff's Notes section? You should.

Friday was the Mother's Day Tea at Pie's school. I'll have to show you what he made for me. All the kids drew portraits of their moms. It was really cute. Tito painted me a flowerpot. Beeb's at a sleepover party right now. We'll see if she remembers to say Happy Mother's Day to me.

I woke up at 4am and couldn't go back to sleep. And then, I was summoned into action at 6:45 by Tito whacking me in the face with his empty chocolate milk cup.

I suppose technically I had Breakfast In Bed. I brought a Boylan's Diet Creme Soda and a box of Wheat Thins back to the bedroom with me after I got up and got Tito his refill.

We're due at the inlaws at noon. We get to spend the day with them, because I'm not a mom deserving of my OWN day. I love my MIL, but yeah, I'm bitter.

I don't even want anything for Mother's Day other than not having to go out there.

At least I've got my Power Panties on.

It's gonna be a faaaaaaabulous day.

I think I'll watch THIS CLIP several times before I leave.

It's one of my favorites. I imagine the serious brother as Pie and the screw-up as Tito.

Ohmygod, that video is a RIOT! That's my kids, 10 years from now.

Shit, I don't know if that last comment took!

But if it didn't here goes: That video is HILARIOUS!

And eventually someday you won't have to go to the in laws on Mother's Day. Well unless R's family is into grave-visiting.

Amen on going to the in-laws on your day. Last year I did that, and they served me fish. I HATE FISH!! Never again.

I think mothers of adults everywhere should start passing the torch down to the next generation whenever they start having kids. They have had their time in the sun. It's our turn to shine now. We are the ones going through heck right now anyway. They are on easy street.

Isn't mothers day in march? because if it isn't I'm in so much trouble right now.

Man, those guys remind me of my stepbrothers. Funny!

I managed to just go out with my mom and her hubby (the laid-back in-laws). I used to hate going out with my in-laws, mostly because it was always about them and soooo much work to get there and all.

Here's to sleeping in late and going to bed early on Mother's Day!

That video had me with tears running down my cheek from laughing so hard. I hope that some how, some way, the goddess of all things good managed to sneak in and give you a few moments of peace today.

I think I found that video on YouTube about a year ago, and I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe. Hubby came down to see what was so rib tickling, then walked away shaking his head.

Have you seen their other stuff?? The "Interrupting Cow" one is great too...

Love the pic of you, btw. I still come out as a scribble in a skirt, but Max is still quite young.
