News Flash - I don't Have a Wiener!

Dang, I didn't realize it had been so long since I last posted.

There was no Big Wiener in my weekly Simple Green Simple Question Quiz! The question was "What two non-knitting related things did I resolve to learn in 2006?" The answer was Fly Fishing and Glass Blowing, neither of which did I actually accomplish.

I did, however, manage to go to two concerts, which is one more than I went to last year. So this week's question is:

What two concerts did I attend this year?

This week's wiener will have to wait until I get home before I can mail out their fabulous prize package. The kiddos and I are leaving on Sunday for six days in San Antonio with my family, including the cousin who ratted me out to my mom about my piercings. I don't think Mom knows that I know she knows. Hell, I don't care who knows. I'll talk about them tomorrow - I have a kinda funny story to share with you.

I'm becoming more at peace with the idea of travelling with the kids. I've done it many times before and it should be easier this time. I've had the boys in the double stroller (which I had to take them out of, then collapse it and send it through the screener while hoping that little toddling Tito didn't run away), I've had Beebie and Pie walk while I pushed Tito in the umbrella stroller (which got destroyed, thank you very much, SWA), and this is the first time that I will be without a stroller AND without a diaper bag!

I'm packing each of them their own carry-on backpack full of snacks and diversions, and I'm packing myself a WIP to be determined later. I haven't started taking the meds, but I WILL be packing them. And, if you're curious, my piercings do not set off the security alarms.

I don't imagine I'll actually have much time to knit on the plane because I'll be sitting by Tito and, in all likelihood, breaking up fights between Beebie and The Pie. We'll be spending a lot of time in the car driving to my aunt and uncle's house, but I really hardly ever knit on the road. I'm too busy looking out the windows. Oooh! Something shiny!

On Monday, I'll be dropping by Yarntopia! I can't even wait. I actually held back at the Knitorious Sale this weekend (which was not easy, I'll have you know) so I could enhance my stash while I'm on vacation. I think I'm going to treat myself to a set of Denises too. Merry Christmas to me!

And, as if my Thanskgiving vacation could get better than enjoying the family discount at a yarn shop, I get to hang out with the one and only BEZZIE! I wonder if we'll be like two 8th grade geeks on a blind date. "So... you like, knit, right (insert Butthead laugh)?" The possibility exists, of course, that Bezz and I will create a swirling black hole of coolness and never be seen or heard from again.

Finally, to anyone who thinks I'm an evil, fatass bitch -

SCREW YOU! I'M GANDHI!

Dude! I was Ghandi too!

I told Chunky you guys were coming and he asked me what your name was (Sarah is a very pretty name according to him) and then he asked what your kids' names were--um, we'll have to exchange "real" kid names before we meet up. Chunky meet Tito, Pie and Beebie!
